Submission on Abortion and Babies with Anencephaly

A woman who is carrying twin girls with a fatal fetal abnormality has appealed to the Northern Ireland Minister for Health to allow her have an abortion in Northern Ireland. This briefing reviews the medical issues facing pregnant women carrying a baby with anencephaly, the different options available to them and the consequences of any change in law or regulations in Northern Ireland.
