This submission to the Nuffield Council on Bioethics looks at ethical issues arising out of children's involvement in clinical research, such as recruitment to research, rewards, risk and consent. CMF was able to draw upon relevant experience of members in developing countries with a focus on child health and nutrition interactions as well as members in the UK when compiling this submission. It includes recommendations on how to improve the care of children involved in research in less developed countries as well as the UK.
