The GMC is seeking to revise and improve the List of Registered Medical Practitioners (LRMP) so that it provides more and better information, and is easier to use.
CMF has contributed a response to the GMC's draft proposals, requesting that a revised Register should make clear that a doctor working overseas may not currently hold a UK licence to practise because of his or her absence from practice in UK. As is stands, the limited information in the Register might give the misleading impression that a license had been withheld.
