Public Health England - Informed Choice Consultation

Published: 16th November 2017

The UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC) is consulting on its guidance covering the development, production and review of information to support all UK population screening programmes. Their aim is to produce a more consistent approach to information provision across all programmes and countries, and also an agreed definition of the meaning of informed choice in the context of accepting or declining the offer of screening.

CMF broadly welcomes their initiative but has concerns around its application to Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing.
