Samaritan's Purse UK is an international relief and development organisation that works through local churches to proclaim and demonstrate the love of God amongst communities in need across the world. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ.
In the Disaster Assistance and Response Team (DART) programme, Samaritan's Purse deploys on-call professionals (medical and non-medical) trained to respond within a complex international environment to save lives and reduce suffering in the name of Jesus Christ. Recent disaster responses include providing aid to those affected by conflict in Ukraine and Ethiopia, earthquakes in Haiti, and COVID-19 in Italy, the Bahamas, and the US.
Through the World Medical Mission programme, Samaritan's Purse places Christian doctors, dentists, and other medical professionals on short-term volunteer service assignments at mission hospitals and clinics in Africa, Asia, Oceania, Latin America, and the Middle East.
