1. It was Ezekiel who witnessed God resurrecting a valley full of dry bones (Ezk 37:1-14). This was a prophecy of how God would miraculously restore the nation of Israel (vv 11-14) and should be a reminder to us that nothing is too difficult for God to accomplish - his word can be trusted!
2. Jacob wrestled with God (Gn 32:24-32), who eventually defeated him by wrenching his hip (v25). Jacob received the name Israel (meaning 'he struggles with God') from this encounter (v28). It was just one of a number of occasions where God revealed himself in human form before the incarnation of Christ (see also Gn 3:8, 18:1-33; Jdg 13:1-25).
3. Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, killed Sisera, the commander of the army of Hazor, by hammering a tent peg through his skull (Jdg 4:17-24).
