Freshers
Forward this CMF Freshers' video link to any young people in your church who are heading off to medical school in the next few weeks. And if your church is near a medical school, be ready to offer hospitality to new students. Students can connect with CMF in medical schools online here.
Making connections
Already more than a hundred members have volunteered as CMF Links. Our aim is to have a CMF link person for every workplace, locality, church, deanery, foundation school, specialty and medical school where there are Christian doctors. Click the links to find the job descriptions for these vital voluntary roles. Deanery links are needed in particular to fill gaps.
Welcome Scheme
Over 100 connections have been made this year through CMF's Welcome Scheme. The Welcome Scheme puts junior doctors in touch with a more senior CMF member when they move to a new posting, helping them to settle in and providing mentoring and friendship at the times they need it most.
Healthcare Sunday – 21 October
Most churches have at least one member who works in the NHS. Healthcare Sunday is an opportunity for your church to support the doctors, medical students, nurses and other healthcare workers in your congregation and community. Use CMF's videos and the Healthcare Sunday resources to mark the event. Contact us for supplies of Triple Helix and CMF joining packs.
God Loves the NHS
Sam Leinster is the keynote speaker at God Loves the NHS in London on Saturday 20 October. The conference is for all those who work in the Health Service to meet together for encouragement, support and to hear about different ways that Christians in the NHS are living out the hope of the gospel in their workplaces. Book on line.
