Along with many other Christian organisations we are encouraging our members to make their voice heard on this crucial issue.
So far 620,000 people have signed the Coalition for Marriage (C4M) petition against these proposals and 153 MPs have gone public in support of traditional marriage.
Taking such a stance is not an easy thing to do and we know the media is not always friendly.
If your own MP is on the list would you be able to send a Christmas card or email thanking them for the courageous stand they have taken? You might say that:
You can easily email your MP via the 'They Work For You' website or obtain their constituency address from their parliamentary website.
If your MP is not on the list could you email them to urge them to vote against the proposals?
Please remember too:
From all at the CMF office, may we wish you a blessed Christmas and New Year as we remember how the Lord Jesus Christ, our creator and saviour, took on human flesh and entered this world as a tiny baby to die on a cross, that we might be secure with him for ever.
'The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.' (John 1:14)
