Media Training Days
This year's basic media training days have now finished with the London, Sheffield and Liecester events in September bringing the 2002 total to five. Over 90 CMF members have now attended a basic media training day and a number have spoken on radio and television since. We are planning more next year. In the meantime a new advanced media course focusing on 'sexual health issues' is scheduled for 22- 23 November.
Student Leaders' Weekend
Over 50 student leaders and CMF staff attended the Student Leaders weekend at the Gaines Youth Centre in Whitbourne, Worcestershire on 27-29 September. Tim Lewis led the Bible readings on 2 Timothy on the theme of 'Be strong is Christ Jesus' and other CMF student staff led seminars on leadership and evangelism. This time student leaders and staff in law, nursing and therapy joined us.
Junior Doctors' Conference
Beyond the Bleep 2002 focussed on 'Jesus: Our Ultimate Example'. Sheffield Surgeon Bill Thomas gave the Bible readings and a range of seminars tackled seminars addressing juniors' issues. About 90 junior doctors in the first three years post-graduation attended, including three delegates from Germany.
