Open Day
Our new home at 6 Marshalsea Road, London SE1 1HL will be open from 10am-4pm on Saturday 3 November. You'd be very welcome to drop in for a look round, a tour, and exciting updates. You can just turn up on the day but an e-mail to judy.wilson@cmf.org.uk would be appreciated so we have an idea of numbers. There is another day planned for Saturday 23 February 2008.
Autumn appeal – thank you!
Most of you will by now have received a letter outlining CMF's autumn appeal. If not, it's on its way! Thank you all for the £55,000 (including Gift Aid) received so far. £200,000 would let us plan confidently for next year.
Committee news
On Saturday 22 September the General Committee met for an exciting day of reports and discussion. New appointments were made at the top:
- Chairman – Trevor Stammers
- Vice-Chairman – John Wenham
- President – Sam Leinster
- Treasurer – Allister Vale

Micah Sunday 07
CMF is one of the founder organisations of the 'Micah Challenge', a worldwide movement seeking since 2004 to ensure the Millennium Development Goals are implemented. Micah Sunday 07 focuses on the global HIV and AIDS epidemic. It is planned for October 14 but your church could use any Sunday before Christmas.
40th Anniversary of Abortion Act
40 years. 6.7 million abortions. Time for change! is the slogan for a new network trying to turn the tide on abortion, and concentrating initially on events around the 40th anniversary on Saturday 27 October of the passing of the 1967 Act. News and events at www.timeforchange.org.uk.
Hello to hybrids?
On 5 September and ahead of anticipated parliamentary consideration, the HFEA announced its approval in principle for granting licences to create animal-human hybrids. However, its website invites comment by 1 November on the two specific applications.
