- Moses had transient leprosy of the hand. He also had a staff which turned into a snake when he threw it onto the ground, and back into a staff when he reached out and took hold of its tail. Ex 4:1-7.
- Both Jezebel and Eutychus fell to their deaths from a window. Jezebel was Ahab's wicked queen, and her body was devoured by dogs (2 Ki 9:30-37). Eutychus was the young man who fell asleep as the apostle Paul talked late into the night. In contrast to Jezebel and in spite of falling from the third storey, he was restored to life. Acts 20:7-12.
- After being shipwrecked on the island of Malta, Paul was bitten by a viper. (Acts 28:1-6). The natives expected him to swell up or suddenly drop dead, but Paul survived and went on to heal the sick on the island.
