The ICMDA Executive Committee Meeting was held this year on 21-22 May in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Members of the ICMDA Executive Committee in attendance represented all World Continents (except Antarctica, but we’re working on it!). It is such a blessing to be in the presence of this group of believers, experiencing the fellowship and camaraderie on a World scale, of brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as in our Profession. Our Father’s Kingdom continues to grow within this hostile territory we call ‘the World’.

Some areas of growth that ICMDA has been nurturing recently invo l ve the ICMDA website (www.icmda.net) and News Praise and Prayer, the quarterly ICMDA publication. One of the roles of ICMDA is to assist the linking of the various national member associations, such as CMF UK and their individual members, with other individuals and national associations from around the World. In order to facilitate this linking, ICMDA has added links on the ICMDA website to more of its members and contact groups. There are now links to 24 ICMDA National Member Associations, and 2 Contact Groups. Please visit the ICMDA website in order to access information of these members and contacts.

The ICMDA website also is developing the ability to learn of various conferences that the Member Associations are having, as well as the various ICMDA Regional and World Conferences. Having access to this information also enhances the ability to attend and fellowship with like-minded colleagues from around the World.

News Praise and Prayer (NPP) continues to be a source of linking the activities of the various ICMDA National Member Associations. As well as reporting on the activities of various National Member Associations, NPP is being developed to report on how various ICMDA Members approach the varied issues that we grapple with. The previous issue of NPP looked at the issue of HIV/AIDS Prevention. Further links to resource materials are added to the ICMDA website via the presence of NPP on the ICMDA website. (ICMDA is now in the process of developing an HIV/AIDS Sub-Committee, with a view of facilitating a Christian World-View in the battle of this disease.) News Praise and Prayer continues to be a complimentary distribution, however, donation funds are received with thanks to facilitate this distribution, especially for those who are not able to access this resource from the ICMDA website. As well as funds required for the publishing of NPP, donations are also received with thanks for the purposes of developing Regional ICMDA work, supporting the linking work of various ICMDA Regional Secretaries, Student Activities around the World, and supporting the work of the ICMDA Student Secretary. The work is great, but the labourers are few. Please consider supporting ICMDA with your time as well. Another aspect of ICMDA work is to support the attendance of qualified bursary graduates and students to various ICMDA Regional and World Conferences. Please consider ways you can help facilitate the work of ICMDA either individually or through your National Member Association. May our Father continue to bless you and support you in your families and professional work.
