Dr Nirma Bachan in Lalitpur tells the following story.
Two brothers found to have tuberculosis, were treated for half price.Kishori Lal attended regularly but did not improve. His brother was very irregular but improved. The hospital found that Kishori was giving his treatment to his younger brother. A further concession enabled both to complete their treatment. Kishori, who used to read the literature in the OPD hall, asked for a bible and eventually said he believed in Jesus. He told of two answers to prayer. In the first he and his wife were caught in a riot near a railway station. Praying for shelter from flying bullets they pounded on the door of the nearest building. The door opened cautiously and they entered to find a group in prayer. The group prayed with them, fed them and the next day escorted them to the station.
In the second he took his grandson, in great pain due to an abscess in the armpit, to hospital but could not afford the fee. The father saw a picture of Christ on the wall. He prayed 'Lord if the woman was healed of her long-standing illness by touching the hem of your garment, why not my grandson'. He lifted him up and stretched the child's arm to touch the picture of Christ. The child shrieked as the abscess burst.
Kishori refused a loan to restart his business, quoting that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. He signs letters to his family 'Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ' and is now answering their questions asking who Jesus is.
