Abortion controversies
CMF's written evidence to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee caused critical comment in The Independent on Tuesday 16 October, while members giving oral evidence came under even more fire in The Guardian on Monday though the letters page next day redressed the balance. Chris Richards, John Wyatt and Peter Saunders were witnesses, with only two other pro-life voices among the 18 giving evidence.
40th Anniversary of Abortion Act
Saturday 27 October marks the 40th anniversary of the passing of the 1967 Act. '40 years. 6.7 million abortions. Time for change!' is the slogan for a new network trying to turn the tide on abortion. See 'news and events' on the Time for Change! website. Do sign up to come to one of the events around the country and pray for Peter Saunders speaking at the main ecumenical service in Westminster Cathedral.
