Diamond Jubilee
CMF was founded in 1949 so this is our 60th anniversary year, and it would be great to mark this by increasing the membership. All graduates will soon get a wide-ranging letter from General Secretary Peter Saunders which includes two copies of an attractive new brochure so you can introduce CMF to colleagues (students will get their copies a few weeks' later). The letter also contains information and a booking form for the national doctors' conference on 24-26 April.
National students' conference 13-15 February
is only 2 weeks away now. The early bird reduction has been extended for online bookings until 9am on Monday 2 February so students, book now. Please pray for the 400 we expect.
Head of student ministries
Peter Saunders' letter describes the interim arrangements but we are still looking for a medic to start full time or part time from September. Please pray and make known the need.
PAS consultation in Scotland
Members in Scotland may want to make personal responses to this consultation process about assisted suicide. Deadline 9 March. Care Not Killing and CMF will be making submissions but individual doctors responding will have a big impact.
Zimbabwe cholera appeal
This tragic epidemic is about to exceed WHO's worst-case-scenario so CMF's appeal is continuing. We are providing funds to get IV fluids and materials to doctors and nurses linked with CMF Zimbabwe, and spiritual blessing is accompanying the daily saving of lives.
CMF at New Word Alive
Details are now available of CMF's extensive input in both conference weeks: 30 March-4 April, 4-9 April
Direct debits – 546 and rising!
All except graduates renewing their annual subscription after April should now have received a letter requesting that you transfer subscription payments to Direct Debit. Thanks to the 301 who have sent back paper agreement and the 245 who have done so online! Once you've made these arrangements it saves you time every year as well as saving us time and money – please go for it now.
