This is a rural 100 bed hospital with medical, surgical, OB/GYN, paediatrics and outpatient experience.
Most of the doctors are long term American missionaries.
I self -catered, but a lot of people feed visitors!
I had hands on experience in managing ward, surgery and community clinics and felt useful.
This is a beautiful place with great churches, opportunities for worship, teaching and good Bible studies at the hospital.
I needed to be keen to get to know people and get involved with them and their lives.
There was opportunity for a visit to the Rift valley and to climb local hills.
My elective was organised through the African Inland Mission and cost £1500 including funding from the AMECA fund.
