  2. The father of Publius, chief official of Malta, was healed of fever and dysentery, when Paul, after prayer, laid hands on him. (Acts 28:7-10)
  3. An unnamed man, who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years, was healed instantly by Jesus at the pool of Bethesda. He was later criticised by the Pharisees for carrying his mat on the Sabbath. (Jn 5:1-18)
