A brilliant book that is both easy and challenging to read. The short chapters lend themselves to the busy student who's reading between lectures or clinics, and it's written in an engaging and personal style. With 15 short accounts there's bound to be a story that really touches you or gives you ideas for working abroad or supporting overseas healthcare workers you know. The challenge would be to read this book... and not be inspired or stirred! Qualifying and working abroad seem far away now but this book has something to say to everyone; from students, to qualified doctors and healthcare workers to those who've retired. as a student I feel pretty radical and adventurous, but it's very clear that God's plans are much more extravagant and daring than we imagine. Each story is written by a different person, in a different style and with different adventures; however, the recurring theme is that with God all things are possible!
