A Christian from Clacton-on-Sea
Knew just where he wanted to be
So humbly confessing the need for God's blessing
He sought his will diligently
He laid out a fleece on the ground
(A technique that's biblically sound!)
And as it transpired the sign he desired
Was just what he (finally!) found
Not wanting from Scripture to veer
(Nor seeking to pay costs too dear)
He sought out those preachers, companions and teachers
Who said what his ears longed to hear
Selecting this page or the next
Not wanting to leave the lad vexed
They picked the right voices to confirm his choices
(Bypassing each troublesome text)
So safe in the castle he'd built
(Through justification full tilt)
He lived day by day while his soul ebbed away
Protected from feelings of guilt
