Birmingham Student CMF is a group of Christians who study medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy, nursing, pharmacy and biomedical sciences. We meet to encourage and equip each other in our faith to live and speak for Jesus. Our regular meetings and events allow us to get to know each other, and to help us think about how Biblical values affect us currently as students and in the future as healthcare professionals.
The pre-clinical group meets on Wednesday lunchtimes at 1-2pm in the basement common room in the medical school. The clinical group meets monthly on Saturday mornings to share brunch and discuss living out faith in a health setting. The nursing group meets monthly to cover a topic from the CMF nurses handbook. Every second Saturday of the month there is a CMF fellowship brunch if there is no big event going on in the same month.
We have a number of whole CMF events to help build an inter-year community:
Mid September - summer BBQ at a member's house
Late September - Fresher's fair
7th October - Freshers meet and greet - A social evening with a quiz and food to get freshers involved and connected
9th November - CMF day away - All members of Birmingham student CMF are invited to a day at a church in the countryside for fellowship and prayer
Early December - CMF Christmas meal - Evangelism event - free meal and a Christmas message for anyone and everyone
